Terms
Last updated 8 August 2026.
This reader is free, provided as it is, and your files stay yours. We claim no rights over anything you open with it, and we could not exercise any if we did — we never receive it.
What you are agreeing to
By using DOMAIN you accept what is on this page. If you do not, please do not use it. That is the entire arrangement: there is no account to close and nothing to cancel.
Your files are yours
You keep every right you already had in the books, papers and documents you open here. Using this reader grants us no licence over them, no ownership of them, and no right to use them for anything — including training anything. Nothing you open is transmitted to us, so there is nothing for such a right to attach to. See the privacy page for how that works.
What you may not use it for
Do not use this reader to infringe somebody else's copyright, and do not use it to break the law where you are. You are responsible for having the right to read what you open — the reader cannot tell a book you bought from one you did not, and it does not try to.
Do not attempt to disrupt the service for other people, or to use the waitlist endpoint for anything other than joining the waitlist.
Copyright complaints
We host no user files, so in the ordinary case there is nothing here for us to take down — a book you open exists only on your own device. If you believe something we do publish infringes your copyright, write to our designated agent with enough detail to identify the work and where it appears, and we will act on it promptly.
Designated agent: DMCA_AGENT_NAME_AND_ADDRESS, CONTACT_EMAIL.
It is provided as it is
This is free software offered without warranty of any kind — no promise that it is fit for any particular purpose, that it will read every file you give it, or that it will be available at all. It runs in your browser, and browsers, devices and formats vary more than any amount of care can cover.
Keep your own copies of your books. They are held by your browser's storage, and a browser can clear that storage on its own — when a device runs short of space, or when you clear site data. The Export my library button exists for this reason. We cannot restore anything, because we never had it.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using this reader, including lost files, lost reading positions or lost time. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
The paid tier
Anything described as coming later — syncing your library across devices, cloud voices — is not sold yet and is not part of this agreement. Joining the waitlist costs nothing, commits you to nothing, and is not a purchase. If and when there is something to buy, it will have terms of its own and you will be shown them before you pay.
Changes
These terms may change. When they do, the date at the top changes, and the previous version stays in the project's public git history. Continuing to use the reader after a change means accepting it.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of JURISDICTION, and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
